Agent Orange

Agent Orange

Hi! My name is Agent Orange! My meowmy loves me very much but she has a terminal illness and will soon no longer be able to properly care for me. As hard as it is for her to say goodbye to me, she wants to make sure I find a loving family who will continue to cherish me and share lots of love.

If you need help with daily activities, then I’m the cat for you. Not only do I help with household chores such as cooking and cleaning, I also assist with personal care duties like face washing and teeth brushing. And my assistance is invaluable when you’re texting!

I’m a very gentle and mellow kitty. I like to be in the midst of whatever is going on and will get lonely and might even pout if I’m being left out of the action. When you’re sitting I’ll climb up to be on your lap and it doesn’t matter where you are when I do it. I’ll even try when you’re sitting in the bathroom... hehe.

When it’s time for bed, I like to show off my burrowing skills and will burrow under the covers so that I can sleep with you. I won’t stop trying until I get my way so you might as well just give in and lift up the covers to let me in so we can get some sleep.

I have early stage kidney disease and require fluids twice/week. I'm also eating yummy Hills Prescription Kidney Care food, both wet and kibble, and will need you to continue feeding me my special diet.

I'm looking for a calm and quiet home with a kindhearted family where I can live out my golden years. Oh, and I do get along with other kitties, especially sweet and calm kitties like me. I previously lived with Shaboom and Lacey (who are also looking for their furever homes). I never fight back even if another kitty picks on me because I’m a lover, not a fighter.

Are you a loving family who will open your home to a sweet senior kitty like me?

Ali

Ali

Hi! I'm Ali! I was adopted as a kitten but sadly was returned to GMS because my person passed away.

I'm a delightful 7-year-old feline who, while initially shy, will quickly warm up to you and become an inseparable companion. I thrive in a calm, single-cat household where I can form deep, affectionate bonds with my humans. My intelligence is evident in her impeccable litter box habits and her impressive manners—I never chew or scratch on furniture or try to run out the door. I enjoy a cozy indoor life, savoring my favorite wet and dry food, with a particular fondness for Churus.

I have a charming personality that shines through as I settle into my new home. Though I may hide when new people arrive, I adapt quickly once they become a quiet part of the surroundings. I’m very communicative when it comes to meal times—I’ll meow politely to let you know I’m ready for dinner. My gentle nature extends to children as well, as long as they are gentle and respect my boundaries.

During the day, I’m quite the independent soul, often found napping on the couch or cat tree while keeping a watchful eye on the outside world. In the evenings, I become a playful dynamo, energetically chasing and pouncing on feather wands before curling up into a loaf for some well-earned rest. My affectionate side comes out when I’m comfortable; I adore head rubs, give the cutest nose boops, and might even hop onto the couch for a loving snuggle. When I’m fully relaxed, I’ll purr contentedly beside you, and I take biscuit making very seriously. Once truly bonded, I won't mind being picked up and will enjoy some limited bonus lap time too!

Though I have a tendency to look concerned when startled by loud noises, my calm demeanor returns swiftly. My boba eyes and sweet, gentle spirit make me an endearing companion who is eagerly waiting for her forever home. I’m ready to share my love and affection with my humans who will appreciate my unique charm and give me the cozy, quiet environment I deserve. Could you be the one to give me the loving home I’ve been waiting for?

Andy

Andy

Hi! I'm Andy! I was abandoned in a feral colony in Tracy, CA.

I’m a super confident, friendly, playful and affectionate kitty with a sweet purr to top it all off.

I’m having a blast playing with the other kitties in my foster home. We chase each other through the tunnel, wrestle, and bat our toys around the room. And when my foster human brings out a wand toy, it’s all about jumping and pouncing. So much fun!

Yes I’m full of energy but I’m also full of love and affection to share with my human and my kitty furiends. If you pick me up and plop me in your lap, I’ll purr and rub all over you while you give me pets and kisses. And when it’s time to snooze, I’ll cozy up next to you or with a kitty furiend.

I'm looking for forever home with fun and loving humans, and a playful kitty furiend. If you’re looking for an adorable kitten with the purrfect balance of playfulness and sweetness, then I’m the one for you!

You can see more of me in my foster homes here @dj_capy_ and @gms_shykittyclub.

Ashley

Ashley

Hi! We’re Ashley and Slippers, an energetic pair of bonded siblings searching for our forever home. We enjoy doing everything together - from racing up and down our cat tree to observing birds and wildlife in action from our window. When we’re ready to wind down, we stretch out on the bed or cuddle up inside our cozy cave to nap and recharge. We love playing with our foster mom and our favorite games are anything that involves leaping up into the air to catch the feather wand toy!

We’re dreaming of our ideal forever home with someone who spends time at home hanging out and playing with us. Our foster home has resident cats who have been welcoming and curious while we explore. After exploring, we always run back to our foster room for playtime. We’ll thrive in a relaxed environment with routines and a balance of interactive playtime, relaxation to recharge, and some independence to explore our new furever home.

I’m a beautiful gray tabby with gorgeous green eyes that are highlighted with white eyeliner. I’m shy about being pet and picked up, but am learning every day to enjoy physical affection from our foster mom and her friends just like my confident sister, Slippers, who is outgoing and begs for pets. Our foster mom learned quickly that I’m a sucker for Churu treats and will lick them up from her hand while being pet on my head with a fuzzy pom pom wand. She uses the wand to help me appreciate how wonderful pets feel and it works! I love sitting at the top of my cat tree and by the windows to birdwatch and I have lots of fun playing with the feather, spring, and snake toys. I’m curious about my surroundings so you’ll find me exploring and observing my foster mom and resident kitties. I’m looking for someone who will be patient and will continue showing me how fabulous it is to be loved on and pet as much as my sister.

You can see more of us in our foster home. Just click here @ashley_and_slippers to go to our Instagram account.

Bueller

Bueller

Hi! I'm Bueller! I was rescued with my furiend Yossarian from the mean streets of Dubai when we were just kittena. We were just trying to survive on the streets when a stray cat sweep was about to take place. Lucky for us, a caring human got us off the streets before the sweep happened. Being picked up during a sweep comes with an uncertain fate. Unfortunately, there was a senior cat in the home who didn’t approve of us but our luck struck again when a neighbor added us to her family! We then moved to the United States and now our person has to move again. Sadly, this time it’s to a country where there are many restrictions that prevent her from taking us with her.

I'm a playful, friendly, chatty, and cuddly kitty with pretty green eyes and an adorable pink nose.

I’m very outgoing and I love to play! I’ll play fetch, chase string across the floor, and play hide-and-seek. My favorite place to hide is in the bathtub behind the curtain… tehehee. I’m also a cuddler and will cuddle with you morning, day and/or night, really any time you’re up for it! Pets are great but you know what’s just as good, if not better? Being brushed and combed! Bonus: I’ll even let you trim my nails, preferably in exchange for treats. Do you know what isn’t so great? My carrier and the vacuum cleaner.

I do have some food allergies and require a specific diet. My favorite food is Blue Buffalo Limited Ingredient Duck and Potato, Yummy! Oh, and I can also eat prescription foods with hydrolyzed protein but let’s talk about treats now. I love freeze-dried guinea fowl treats and freeze-dried rabbit treats, double yummy!

I get along well with other kitties so if your kitty needs a furiend, I'm in! Or if you just want to give me and only me your love, I'm certainly not going to say no to that! I'm looking for a calm home where I can play and cuddle with my family. Do I sound like the purrfect kitty for you?

You can see more of me in my foster homes here @dj_capy_ and here @yoyo_booboo.

Cadbury

Cadbury

Hi! We're Cadbury and Hershey! We were rescued in Doha, Qatar ??. We were rescued from a colony where a caring human was feeding us and other kitties. She fell in love with us and knew we needed to get off the streets and into a safe and loving home so she took us to a sanctuary where we flourished and showed just how pawsome we are. Then we went to a doctor to be vetted and that’s when they found out we’re FIV+. Unfortunately humans in Qatar think differently about FIV+ cats than they do here in the US. Even knowing how amazing we are, our rescuers knew it would be difficult finding a home there and they worried we might end up back on the streets if in the wrong human hands.

We’re extremely handsome, super sweet, very loving and generally calm kitties, although we do have a playful side too! When we first arrived we immediately came out of our carriers to check out things and say hello. I was a tad bit nervous when I first came out of my carrier but after exploring the room a few times, I began asking for pets. After we had a chance to stretch our legs after our long flight and receive some love, it was time to head to our foster home! Yay!

We were excited to greet our foster human and check out our foster home when we got here. We settled in nicely and now we’re having such a great time playing, receiving lots of attention, and finally being able to relax and not worry about the dangers and uncertainties we faced when we lived on the streets. This indoor lifestyle is incredible! We get to play chase and tag, eat lots of yummy food and relax with our human. I like to sit by our human’s feet while Hershey likes the higher spots so it works out purrfectly for everyone. And while we both love receiving attention, especially in the morning, we never compete for it.

We’re looking for a home together, preferably with a multi-human family so we can receive extra love and attention. We traveled a long way to find our forever home and are so excited to finally have a family to share our love!

You can follow us here while we're temporarily staying in another foster home @returnoftheyeti.

Concerned about me being FIV+? There's lots of informative reading material online to free you of any worries. I can live a long healthy life and safely with other cats, meow. Here's one website that offers some important information - Best Friends - FIV FAQs

Calvin

Calvin

Hi! We're Calvin and Hobbes and boy oh boy do we have an incredible story for you! We were found outside and taken to the Peninsula Humane Society. Sadly no one was looking for us so our journey to finding our furever family began. We were adopted but just a few months later, our previous family decided they didn’t want us anymore ?. They asked that someone from the shelter pick us up from our home but when the person from the shelter arrived, Hobbes was missing!  No one knows what happened to Hobbes, only that he somehow had gotten out of the house. I was taken back to the shelter without Hobbes and I was very distressed being back there without my best furiend. Thankfully Give Me Shelter offered to help by getting me out of the stressful shelter environment and giving me a safe and loving foster home where I can decompress. Then something incredible happened! About a week after I arrived in my foster home, Hobbes was found by a Good Samaritan and taken to the shelter! Hurray! Fortunately, the shelter knew Give Me Shelter wanted to reunite us so the shelter made a very important phone call and now I’m back with Hobbes!

I’m a playful, sweet, and gentle kitty. I’m initially more nervous in new environments than Hobbes is and it takes me a longer to warm up but Hobbes really helps me out by making me feel more at ease. He’s the best!

We both love spending time with humans and receiving attention from them. We’ll ask for pets and cuddle up next to you so it’s easier for you to give us attention, yes, we’re very thoughtful. Hobbes tends to ask for more pets than I do while we’re settling in but I’ll let you in on a little secret… I love them just as much as Hobbes does and am always happy to receive them, it just takes me longer to ask for them.

When we aren’t relaxing in the sun or by the window, we like to play! We have lots of fun playing together and we’re excited to play with all of our new toys. We also love to play with our humans and for me it’s especially a great way to build trust with them more quickly. Whether I’m batting a toy around, leaping for a wand toy, or wrestling with Hobbes, I’m always in when it comes to having some fun!

We're looking for a quieter home with loving humans who know it will take us a little time to open up. Will you give us your patience, love and some sunny spots for naps? We purromise we're worth all of this and more!

You can see more of us in our foster home here @tunaluvrs.

Cashew

Cashew

I’m an adorable, large, white, fluffy, cashew-looking boy with a really short that’s crooked like a lightning bolt. It was like this when I was rescued as a tiny kitten, so no one knows if it was like this when I was born or if maybe something happened to it when I was just a wee kitten. It doesn't really matter because it doesn’t bother me and it adds to my cuteness. I joke that my long and majestic whiskers balance out my short and crooked tail… hehe.

I’m a confident, affectionate and playful kitty. It only took me a day or two to settle in and feel comfortable when I arrived at my foster home. Though I hid a bit in the beginning, I couldn't resist coming out because I’m curious, social, and friendly. I love receiving pets and attention from humans! I’ll follow you around the house, talk to you with my adorable little meows, and headbutt your hands and feet to ask for more pets. When you pet me, I’ll softly purr and roll around to show you my belly. Sometimes if you give me your hand, I’ll hug it with my arms and rub my head all over it. And at night, I like to sleep on the bed by your side.

I also have a curious and playful side. I love to walk around to explore and check out things around me. I also can't say no to interactive playtime with my foster humans. Sometimes I'll chase and bunny kick toys on my own, and even do zoomies for fun. But I do maintain a good balance of liveliness and calmness and do enjoy napping through entire afternoons.

I’m full of love and purrsonality. I can be your cat's furiend or be your one and only fur baby. I'm ready to go home with you today!

You can see more of me in my foster homes here @dj_capy_.

Charles

Charles

Hi! My name is Charles! I was rescued at ACT Spay Neuter Clinic in Stockton, CA.

I’m a big softie who loves to purr and give headbutts for attention. It might take me a few days to warm up because for me, being in a new environment can sometimes be stressful. I might act like an uninterested tough guy in the beginning but it’s all an act. Yes I might not initially want to be around any toys, other cats, or even you, but that’s because I need a little time to take in my new environment and settle in. Encouraging me to play a little and offering a few yummy bribes always helps speed things along… hehe.

Once I’ve had a chance to check things out and spend a little time with you, my sweet purrsonality will shine. I love human interaction and won’t hesitate to ask for pets. In return I’ll rub up against you and purr, purr, purr. I also have a playful side and am having lots of fun playing with my foster furiends and my foster human.

Speaking of my foster human… she tells me I’m part bobcat and part skunk! Can you believe it? But she reassures me she only says this because of my gorgeous coat, not because I’m wild and stinky. Phew! Another thing she thinks is super cute is my tongue that is often hanging out a bit. She says it makes me look silly and I take that as a compliment.

I’m looking for a home with another kitty who can be my pawsome companion. Are you and your kitty looking for a charming and fun kitty like me?

Chia

Chia

Hi! We're Chia and Sesame! We were rescued in the Central Valley.

I’m a sweet, affectionate and playful Tabby girl with a cute white chest because Tuxedos run in the family.

I’m initially shy in new environments and was even spicy for a minute when I first arrived in my foster home, but my short-lived spiciness wasn’t even hot like cayenne pepper, it was mild like turmeric... hehe.  Once, one of our foster mama’s friends called me a little lioness right before picking me up and giving me lots of pets. My teeny lioness hiss didn’t scare her even a little bit. I laugh about it now because spending time with my foster human is one of my favorite things to do!

Once we’ve spent a little time together, I’ll show you my sweet, cuddly and affectionate side… this goes for both humans and kitties. I made furiends with one of the previous foster kittens here and started following him around and even napping with him. He was quite confident and I cerrtainly learned a lot from him. One of the most noteworthy things I learned is that being right next to humans comes with lots of rewards like pets, kisses, compliments and sometimes even a yummy treat.

It took me a little time to get used to all of the unfamiliar things around here and some of the sounds still sometimes startle me but only the really loud ones. My foster mama has been telling me how much fun it is watching me open up and reveal a little more of my adorable purrsonality each and every day.

I'm bonded with my sister Sesame and we're looking for a home together.

We're so excited to meet our new family and have lots of fun with them!

You can see more of me in my foster home here @blocky_buds.

Freda

Freda

Hello! I’m Freda! I was rescued with my three sisters from a backyard in San Francisco and I’m so glad to meet you!

I’m a sporty, dynamic Tortoiseshell with a bit of spicy “tortie” personality to match. I can be a bit feisty at first, says the Tortie… hehe,  but all I need is some time to relax and for us to get to know one another and then my playful personality will emerge.

I love to play with the cat dancer toy and am quite the flying acrobat! Another way to my heart is offering me some treats and I’ll even lick Churus right off your finger. After some time and some play, I’ll happily welcome some head scratches and pets and will give you a little tap if I want more!

I love spending time by the windows so I can surveil the neighborhood and like to meow at the people passing by. I would be happy as an only cat while I’m finding my rhythm in my new home.

I’m looking for a kind and patient, cat savvy human. My sometimes sweet and sometimes sassy purrsonality will win your heart!

I’m a friendly, affectionate, and playful kitty. It can take me a few days to begin warming up in new environments but I’ve gone through some big changes these past several months and I just want to make sure it’s safe to open up and reveal my loving purrsonality.
I’m the more confident one and lead the way with Calvin by my side. Izzy

Hi! We're Izzy and Mimi! We were rescued from a cat colony in Tracy, CA. We’re tuxedo twinsies with complementary purrsonalities.

I’m a confident, friendly and energetic kitten. I’m the confident sister and am quick to warm up to new humans, new environments, and even new furiends. When I see the resident cat I purr up a storm and run over to him to rub up against his super floofy fur. I take the lead when it comes to meeting new humans and animals, exploring new environments, and playing with toys. I like to think of myself as the big sister and am always looking out for Mimi to make sure she feels comfortable.

I love to play and have lots of energy to keep play sessions going strong whether they’re with our foster human or my sister Izzy, or both! Wand toys, tunnels, plush mice… you name it, I’ll play with it. I especially love to show off my hunting skills when the wand toy comes out! And when I’ve exhausted my energy, I’m all about snuggling with my sister for a power nap.

Are you looking for two adorable Tuxedo sisters to add to your family? We’ve come a long way from our colony days and are really starting to feel safe living our new lifestyle. We’re loving all of the yummy treats and fun playtime we’re getting and will continue to need some encouragement from our new family so we become the best kitties we can be!

Jackie

Jackie

Hi! My name is Jackie! I was rescued at ACT Spay Neuter Clinic. I’m a petite, sweet, easy-going and calm mini house panther who enjoys a laid back lifestyle.

I can initially be shy in new environments and might hide in a safe spot for the first couple days while I observe and adjust to my new space, but I'm sweet and I love humans so pets are always welcomed and I'll never hide for long.

My zoomie days are a thing of the past and now I’m all about spending time with my humans and lounging around the house. Napping in the sun, receiving pets, looking out the window, and eating are my ideas of fun these days. I feel most comfortable in calm environments without a lot of commotion because my hustle and bustle days are in the past. I just want to chill and express my love for my family.

I was itchy and scratchy when I first arrived in my foster home so my foster humans immediately looked into possible causes. They thought I might have a food allergy so they switched my chicken based food to a limited ingredient food with beef, duck, or venison and guess what! I’m feeling so much better now! Yay! I like to eat a little wet food and a little dry food and will need my forever family to continue feeding me a limited ingredient diet but don’t worry, my food is available at almost all pet stores, both locally and online.

I get along well with other kitties who don’t harsh my mellow by trying to play with me. With a slow introduction I can live with new chill furiends but I’m more than happy being your one and only kitty.

If you’re looking for a gentle and calm sweetheart, you should apply to meet me!

Julius

Julius

We're Julius and Rambo! We were rescued in the Central Valley. We’re two brothers from another mother, but united as furever family!

I’m a curious but cautious kitty when I'm in a new environment. I’m not as forward and boastful as my brother right off the bat. I’m very aware of my world and will explore all the nooks and crannies while Rambo karate’s off every surface around me. I’m a little cautious around new people and like it when you make the first couple cuddle moves, but once I’m in your arms, my purr motor takes off!

We zoom around the house and superman off sofas. Occasionally we get distracted and start doing our own things, and that’s when I might detour… but Rambo grabs my attention and directs me back to our favorite wrestling spots for more rumbling and tumbling. It’s all day wrestle-mania starring Rambo and Julius for your entertainment.

Sometimes we need our human to pick us up to remind to take breaks and that human snuggles are just as fun, and we’ve already learned that they really are! We’ll even insta-purr when someone picks us up. Our favorite spot is right on your chest where we can boop our noses with yours… but be ready for the love bites… hehe.

Together, we’re the perfect dynamic of bashful and boastful, with a passion for cuddles and play. Apply to meet us!

Lenny

Hi! We're Lenny and Scarlett! We were rescued in the Central Valley.

I’m a sweet, outgoing and frisky kitten. I was so ready to get out of our carrier when we arrived so I could immediately check out our foster home! Oh my gosh there are so many pawsome things here… toys, beds, toys, trees, toys, windows, and did I mention toys? I love running around and playing with my foster human, my sister and brother, and even by myself with a toy... or two... or six.

I’m still a young kitten with a lot of energy so I’m looking for a forever home with a fun kitty furiend who will play with me. If you don’t already have a kitty at home, you should consider adopting me with my sister!

I'm filled with fun and love and can't wait to share all of it with my family!

You can follow me and see what I'm up to in my foster home here @sf_pawpals and what I was up to in my previous foster home here @rsinr.

Lila

Hi! We're Lila and Marlon! Give Me Shelter rescued me a couple years ago after I was found in Tracy, CA. Marlon and I were adopted by a pawsome man who loved us so much but sadly he unexpectedly died. We were heartbroken. Now that we’ve had some time to process everything, we’re ready to find our new family!

I’m an adorable tuxedo with a plush coat made for petting and a darling white ring of fur around my tail and a white tip to top it off. I’m initially shy but my sweet purrsonality quickly emerges because I love humans.

Marlon and I are like two peas in a pod. We’re mellow, confident, easy-going, and lovable kitties. We’re both snugglers and love to be by our person. We’ll be by their side whether we’re relaxing on the couch or sleeping on the bed. We also have curious and playful sides. We like to be in the middle of things and will be right there to investigate what’s going on. We’ll even contribute to the action when we can.. hee hee.

We’re looking for a forever home together and we can’t wait to meet them so we can start cuddling!

Lucy

Lucy

Hi! I'm Lucy! I was rescued in Roatán, Honduras, a jungle island off the coast of Honduras. It's extremely difficult for kitties to find homes on the island because it's more common for humans to dump animals on the streets than it is for them to take animals in, even sweet kitties like me! Sadly animals living on the streets not only struggle to find food and safety but many also suffer abuse at the hands of bad humans. But I'm one of the lucky kitties who was rescued by Flight Angels of Roatán @flightangels_roatan. They saved me from the streets and cared for me until they secured a flight for me to go to San Francisco to find my furever family!

I’m a sweet and petite bundle of energy who loves to be by your side. Whether you’re working from home or catching up on your favorite tv show, I’ll be there with you. And when you’re up and about moving from room to room, I’ll follow you around with curiosity and affection.

I love to play and will bring my toys to you so we can play a game or if you prefer to bring them to me, I’ll joyfully jump in and show you all of my pawsome moves.

I also love receiving love and attention. Pets, kisses, scritches… they all equal love in my book. Oh, and speaking of love, I do sometimes give love nibbles but it’s just one of the ways of showing you that I care.

I quickly found the best places to nap in  my foster home so when it’s time to rest, I know exactly where to go. Whether it’s on one of my favorite blankets or on you, if you have an open spot for me, a comfy place to nap makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

I am so happy to be in a safe and loving foster home and can't wait to meet my forever family and start having fun, sharing love, and creating lots of ameowzing memories!

Magic

Magic

Hi! I’m Magic! I was rescued from a ranch in Galt, CA with my mama Mystic, my sister Maisy, and my brothers Mouse, Mikey, Manny and Marty. I’m currently in a foster home with my sister Maisy and my brother Mikey.

I’m an adorable, friendly, confident, and playful kitten. I made myself right at home when we arrived in our foster home and immediately started to explore and investigate everything around me. Once I got that out of the way I was ready to play! While investigating I found lots of toys and of course I had to try them out. My sister and brother had the same game plan so it was extra fun! Our foster human even joined in and that was pawsome!

When I’m not running around being silly and playing, I like to relax with our foster human while receiving pets or with my sister and brother while giving and receiving a nice bath. Sometimes after a tiring play session I just want to enjoy a quick snooze whether it be in a bed, on a lap, or curled up with my brother and sister. I can pretty much fall asleep anywhere.

I’m looking for a home with fun humans and a playful furiend. I would love to be adopted with one of my brothers or my sister but if you already have a playful and cuddly kitty at home, I’ll be a great furiend. I’m super excited to meet my new family and can’t wait to go home with them!

Manny

Manny

Hi! I’m Manny! I was rescued from a ranch in Galt, CA with my mama Mystic, my sister Maisy, and my brothers Mikey, Magic, Mouse and Marty.

I’m an adorable, curious and playful kitten. I can be a bit timid in new environments it might take me a little time to open up but I'm worth the short wait. When we first arrived in our foster home I slowly started to explore and investigate everything around me. While investigating I found lots of toys and batted a few around along the way because I can't say no to a fun toy. When the wand toy came out I hesitated for a minute before jumping in on the fun.

I’m looking for a home with fun humans and a playful furiend. I would love to be adopted with one of my brothers but if you already have a playful, confident, and cuddly kitty at home, I’ll be a great furiend. I’m super excited to meet my new family and can’t wait to go home with them!

Marlon

Marlon

Hi! We're Marlon and Lila! Give Me Shelter rescued me at ACT Spay/Neuter Clinic in Stockton, CA a couple years ago. Lila and I were adopted by a pawsome man who loved us so much but sadly he unexpectedly died. We were heartbroken. Now that we’ve had some time to process everything, we’re ready to find our new family!

I’m a handsome mini panther with a sleek and shiny black coat and a beautiful purrsonality to match. I’m initially shy in new environments and when I first meet new humans but it doesn’t last long because I’m a curious kitty and I crave human interaction.

You can see more of us in our foster home here @sf_kitties.

Lila and I are like two peas in a pod. We’re mellow, confident, easy-going, and lovable kitties. We’re both snugglers and love to be by our person. We’ll be by their side whether we’re relaxing on the couch or sleeping on the bed. We both also have curious and playful sides. We like to be in the middle of things and will be right there to investigate what’s going on. We’ll even contribute to the action when we can... hee hee.

We’re looking for a forever home together and we can’t wait to meet them so we can start cuddling!

Marty

Hi! I’m Marty! I was rescued from a ranch in Galt, CA with my mama Mystic, my sister Maisy, and my brothers Mikey, Magic, Mouse and Manny.

I’m an adorable, curious and playful kitten. I’m initially shy in new environments and it might take me a little time to really open up but once I've had the chance to check out my environment and spend some time with my humans, my sweet and silly purrsonality really comes out. When we first arrived in our foster home I slowly started to explore and investigate everything around me while keeping a watchful eye. While investigating I found lots of toys and tried a few out along the way because no matter where I am, I know toys are lots of fun. When our foster human grabbed a toy and started to play with us I certainly couldn't resist so I joined in to pounce and chase it.

I’m looking for a home with fun humans and a playful furiend. I would love to be adopted with one of my brothers but if you already have a playful, confident, and cuddly kitty at home, I’ll be a great furiend. I’m super excited to meet my new family and can’t wait to go home with them!

Mimi

Mimi

Hi! We're Mimi and Izzy! We were rescued from a cat colony in Tracy, CA. We’re tuxedo twinsies with complementary purrsonalities.

I’m a sweet, shy and playful kitten. I’m the shy sister and it takes me some time to open up in new environments and around new humans. I tend to err on the side of caution but steadily gain confidence each and every day. Thankfully I not only have my foster human to support me but I also have my sister Izzy to help me out! I feel best when she’s around because I know I can trust her. Watching her interact with the resident kitty, our foster human, and everything around us helps give me the courage to do the same.

When it’s time to play, count me in! I love to play and I’m not picky when it comes to toys. I even have fun chasing my sister’s tail… hehe! My energy really kicks in when Izzy and I catch the zoomies. Not only do we love it but our foster human seems to as well because she laughs and tells us how silly we are. After an exhausting play session, nothing beats a cuddly snooze with my sister.

Palmer

Palmer

Hi! I'm Palmer! After being with my previous family my entire life, I was surrendered because I'm not really tolerant of children and there was a toddler in the home. I was sad and heartbroken but lucky for me Give Me Shelter is helping me find a new family!

I’m a handsome, social and confident cat. I was immediately comfortable when I first arrived in my foster home and even let my foster human pick me up and hold me. Resting my front paws on my human’s shoulder and nuzzling my head into their chin and neck while being held makes me feel so loved. And I love receiving pets although for me, there is such a thing as too much of a good thing. I can sometimes become a bit over stimulated when I’m held for too long or pet for too long and will give a gentle nip to let you know when I’ve reached that point if you haven’t already picked up on my cues.

I’m a social cat and enjoy meeting new humans. I’ll run to the door to say hello when I hear someone and sometimes the neighbors stop and chat with me. Being the social cat I am, I have lots of fun playing with my foster human. The fleece wand toys are my favorites but I also fun playing by myself with some of my other toys. And although I'm a mature cat, I sometimes still get random bursts of energy and will run around and up and down my kitty tower which makes my foster human laugh. I’m also quite curious and I know it’s such a stereotype but I can be demanding when I want a closed door to be open. But don’t worry, my curious nature doesn’t translate to being impolite. I don’t wake up my foster human at night or jump onto counters or other places I shouldn’t be just because I’m a curious cat.

I’m looking for a loving adult-only family and a forever home where I can be the one and only kitty of the house. I was with my previous family my entire life and it was a bit traumatic for me when I lost them and my home. I need a patient family who understands this and who will give me some time to bond with them. I know my family is out there and I can't wait to meet them!

Rainy

Rainy

Hi! My name is Rainy! I was rescued by a Good Samaritan in Sacramento, CA.

I’m a beautiful, friendly, social, and playful Tabby girl. I initially come across as being shy but I’m not really shy, I’m just composed and like to take things slowly the first few days. Instead of rushing to explore everything around me and demanding pets from humans the moment I arrive, I prefer to kick back, observe, and take in all of the newness. I’ll come to you with a calm approach, and offering me a treat never hurts. In no time I’ll be asking for pets, letting you pick me up, and cuddling up next to you.

Although my rowdy kitten energy is a thing of my past, I do still love to play. I’m having lots of fun chasing wand toys and am always up for trying new toys. I especially love the ones both my human and I get to play with at the same time because spending time with my human is the best!

I’m giddy with excitement just thinking about meeting my new family and sharing all of my cuteness and love with them!  Apply for me and let's find out if I'm the purrfect kitty for you!

Rambo

Rambo

Hi! We're Rambo and Julius! We were rescued in the Central Valley. We’re two brothers from another mother, but united as furever family!

Although I’m not a great chef, I’m a true foodie. I love to eat and I love to watch my humans eat too. You could say I have an avid mukbang hobby when it’s dinner time for the humans, getting up close and personal with curiosity.

I’m also a brave kitty for only being a couple months old, leading the way to adventure and dragging my brother Julius along with me. Once we’re in full swing, Julius takes over and we become unstoppable.

We zoom around the house and superman off sofas. Occasionally we get distracted and start doing our own things, and that’s when Julius detours… but I’m a good brother, always listening for his soft calls to direct him (mostly chase him), back to our favorite wrestling spots for a tackle.

Together, we’re the purrfect dynamic of bashful and boastful, with a passion for cuddles and play. Apply to meet us!

Scarlett

Scarlett

Hi! We're Scarlett and Lenny! We were rescued in the Central Valley.

I’m a friendly, confident and bubbly kitten. I was super eager to get out of our carrier when we arrived in our foster home and couldn’t wait to explore! Oh my gosh there are so many pawsome things here… toys, beds, toys, trees, toys, windows, and did I mention toys? I love to be silly and am having so much fun playing with my foster human, my brothers and even all by myself. And when I need a little recharge, I settle in for a quick snooze before heading into the next round of play.

You may have noticed that my eyes are a bit cloudy. I had an eye infection when I was younger so I was taken to an ophthalmologist. The doctor treated my eyes and as a result my eyes will be a bit cloudy for six months or so but no further treatment is needed... YAY!!

I’m still young and have an abundance of energy so I’m looking for a forever home with a fun kitty furiend who will play with me and hopefully snuggle with me too. If you don’t already have a kitty at home, you should consider adopting me with my brother because I already know we’re a great match.

I’m looking for a fun and loving family who’s looking to add more fun and love to their home because I have plenty to share!

You can follow me and see what I'm up to in my foster home here @sf_pawpals and what I was up to in my previous foster home here @rsinr.

Sesame

Sesame

Hi! We're Sesame and Chia! We were rescued in the Central Valley.

I’m a friendly, social, curious and playful gray Tuxedo girl. I was out and about the moment I arrived in our foster home and touching noses with the other foster kitties I had never met before.

The first thing on my agenda was to join the other foster kittens who were already here having fun. I was tumbling and playing with them as soon as I left our carrier! It was like we all had known each other for all of our lives!

The next thing on my agenda was introducing myself to our new human. I know humans love me and pets, hugs and kisses are guaranteed when I go to them and look at them with my sweet eyes. I love receiving chin scritches and being scooped up for snuggles. Our foster mama picks me up and lavishes me with attention and it’s pawesome!

I'm bonded with my sister Chia and we're looking for a home together.

We can’t wait to meet our new family and start having lots of fun with them!

Slippers

Slippers

I’m a stunning Siamese Snowshoe Chocolate Point mix with a cream body and socks and a chocolate brown tail and face that frames my gorgeous aqua blue eyes. I’m a sweetheart and I love affection, like to talk, and love ear rubs, head rubs and back rubs!  All our foster mom needs to do is lay her palm out and I rest my head in it for rubs. Get this, I even like my front toes to be gently touched!  I don’t know if I’m a lap cat yet, but I’ve grown to love stretching out on the couch or bed next to our foster mom after play time. I now allow her to pick me up and am getting more and more comfortable with it. I have lots of fun running, jumping, and rolling around with my sister, Ashley. Our foster mom opens up our room so we get to explore the whole house, socialize with the resident kitties, and we’re mesmerized by watching the animal kingdom in action on TV.

You can see more of us in our foster home. Just click here @ashley_and_slippers to go to our Instagram account.

Woody

Woody

Hi! I'm Woody! I was found in a feral colony in Tracy, CA.

I’m an adorable, sweet and playful kitten with a purrfectly innocent face humans adore. I’m initially shy in new environments but have been busy taking notes and watching the more confident kitties in my foster home. My foster human has also been helping me feel more at ease with lots of petting, playing, and treats… okay maybe not lots of treats but even a few seems like lots after living on the streets. After spending some time getting to know my foster human, I'm enjoying lots of cuddles and playtime with her.

I love to play and have been busy chasing toys, practicing my tumbling skills, and fooling around with the other kitties. I’m also having fun playing with my foster human, she knows it’s impossible for me to say no to a wand toy!

Although I wish I could play all day long, even I don’t have that much energy. Honestly, I enjoy relaxing almost as much as playing, especially with my foster furiends. I like to hang out on a cat tree while watching everything that’s going on around me, chill inside a tunnel, or unwind in a nice comfy bed.

I'm looking for forever home with a family who understands it will take a little time to fully open up and who will give some encouragement along the way. And I really need a playful furiend in my forever home. But don’t worry if you don’t already have a confident and playful kitty at home because I have a solution! My foster furiend Andy and I get along really well and we make an adorable pair, and there are other fun kittens in foster homes looking for their homes too!

I purromise your patience and love will pay off big with me. I have lots of love to share and can’t wait to share it all with my family!

You can see more of me in my foster homes here @youcanadoptmetoday and @gms_shykittyclub.
