Agent Orange

Agent Orange

Hi! My name is Agent Orange! My meowmy loves me very much but she has a terminal illness and will soon no longer be able to properly care for me. As hard as it is for her to say goodbye to me, she wants to make sure I find a loving family who will continue to cherish me and share lots of love.

If you need help with daily activities, then I’m the cat for you. Not only do I help with household chores such as cooking and cleaning, I also assist with personal care duties like face washing and teeth brushing. And my assistance is invaluable when you’re texting!

I’m a very gentle and mellow kitty. I like to be in the midst of whatever is going on and will get lonely and might even pout if I’m being left out of the action. When you’re sitting I’ll climb up to be on your lap and it doesn’t matter where you are when I do it. I’ll even try when you’re sitting in the bathroom... hehe.

When it’s time for bed, I like to show off my burrowing skills and will burrow under the covers so that I can sleep with you. I won’t stop trying until I get my way so you might as well just give in and lift up the covers to let me in so we can get some sleep.

I have early stage kidney disease and require fluids twice/week. I'm also eating yummy Hills Prescription Kidney Care food, both wet and kibble, and will need you to continue feeding me my special diet.

I'm looking for a calm and quiet home with a kindhearted family where I can live out my golden years. Oh, and I do get along with other kitties, especially sweet and calm kitties like me. I previously lived with Shaboom and Lacey (who are also looking for their furever homes). I never fight back even if another kitty picks on me because I’m a lover, not a fighter.

Are you a loving family who will open your home to a sweet senior kitty like me?

Ali

Ali

Hi! I'm Ali!  I was adopted as a kitten but sadly was returned to GMS because my person passed away. I was previously adopted with my brother Pierre but we talked about it and we agreed we'll both be happier if we go our separate ways.

I’m a very pretty and very sweet kitty, or as my foster human says, a total sweetheart. I was nervous when I first arrived in my foster home but even though I was scared, I couldn’t say no to pets. I was even making lots of biscuits while purring loudly from the comfort of my kitty cave. Now that I’m feeling more comfortable, I’m coming out from my safe place to explore and say “hi”.

I also find comfort in food, but in a cute and healthy way. When I receive pets and am happy and purring, I’ll go eat a few bites of food and my foster human thinks it’s so endearing. Now let’s talk about Churu treats. Wow!! Where have they been all of my life? I’ll happily hop up onto your lap and love you forever for a Churu!

I love receiving scritches on my face and I’ve mastered the elevator butt. I rub myself on furniture and my humans while purring when I’m a happy girl. Something else that makes me happy is being all warm and cozy. I’ve already found the purrfect spot next to the heater and my foster humans even put a kitty heating pad on my bed… squee! When things quiet down I hop up to the top of my tree and observe my kingdom from up high.

I’ve been slowly opening up to playtime and the wand toy has peaked my interest but my need to play isn’t what it used to be. Pets, food, and warm cozy spots are more appealing to me these days but I do have a bit of a playful side that comes out now and then.

I’m looking for a quieter home with a patient family who understands it will take me time to fully open up. I will be happiest as the only kitty in my forever home but am open to living with another kitty as long as the kitty is mellow and kind. I have so much love to share and I can’t wait to meet my new family and settle into my forever home!

Aria

Aria

Hi! I'm Aria! I was rescued at ACT Spay/Neuter Clinic in Stockton, CA.

I’m a sweet, patient, trusting, gentle and overall easy kitty. I warm up to every human I meet and will happily accept some nice pets and chin scritches from them. I’ll even roll onto my back for belly rubs! I also like to think of myself and being confident and curious because even if a loud sound startles me, I almost immediately want go check it out to find out what it was.

When the toys come out, so does my playful side. I love to chase toys and I’m quite content playing with my spring toys on my own but I’m always super grateful when my humans want to play with me. Nothing beats having fun with my toys AND my humans at the same time. After chasing my toys around and it’s time to relax, I’ll get comfy by a sunny window, next to you on the couch, or on your lap.

I’m very polite and laid-back even when it comes to food. I’m not that kitty who will try to steal your food when you aren’t looking because food isn’t my center of attention. As a matter of fact, I prefer to eat my food slowly and will often graze for a couple hours after my meals are served.

Are you looking for a sweet and easy kitty like me to add to your family?

You can see more of me in my foster home here @adopt_aria.

Ashley

Ashley

Hi! We’re Ashley and Slippers, an energetic pair of bonded siblings searching for our forever home. We enjoy doing everything together - from racing up and down our cat tree to observing birds and wildlife in action from our window. When we’re ready to wind down, we stretch out on the bed or cuddle up inside our cozy cave to nap and recharge. We love playing with our foster mom and our favorite games are anything that involves leaping up into the air to catch the feather wand toy!

We’re dreaming of our ideal forever home with someone who spends time at home hanging out and playing with us. Our foster home has resident cats who have been welcoming and curious while we explore. After exploring, we always run back to our foster room for playtime. We’ll thrive in a relaxed environment with routines and a balance of interactive playtime, relaxation to recharge, and some independence to explore our new furever home.

I’m a beautiful gray tabby with gorgeous green eyes that are highlighted with white eyeliner. I’m shy about being pet and picked up, but am learning every day to enjoy physical affection from our foster mom and her friends just like my confident sister, Slippers, who is outgoing and begs for pets. Our foster mom learned quickly that I’m a sucker for Churu treats and will lick them up from her hand while being pet on my head with a fuzzy pom pom wand. She uses the wand to help me appreciate how wonderful pets feel and it works! I love sitting at the top of my cat tree and by the windows to birdwatch and I have lots of fun playing with the feather, spring, and snake toys. I’m curious about my surroundings so you’ll find me exploring and observing my foster mom and resident kitties. I’m looking for someone who will be patient and will continue showing me how fabulous it is to be loved on and pet as much as my sister.

You can see more of us in our foster home. Just click here @ashley_and_slippers to go to our Instagram account.

Bueller

Bueller

Hi! I'm Bueller! I was rescued with my brother Yossarian from the mean streets of Dubai when we were just kittens. We were all alone and trying to survive on the streets when a stray cat sweep was about to take place. Lucky for us, a caring human got us off the streets before the sweep happened. Being picked up during a sweep comes with an uncertain fate. Unfortunately, there was a senior cat in the home who didn’t approve of us but our luck struck again when a neighbor added us to her family! We all then moved to the United States and now our person has to move again. Sadly, this time it’s to a country where there are many restrictions that prevent her from taking us with her.

I'm a playful, friendly, chatty, and cuddly kitty with pretty green eyes and an adorable pink nose.

I’m very outgoing and I love to play! I’ll play fetch, chase string across the floor, and play hide-and-seek. My favorite place to hide is in the bathtub behind the curtain… tehehee. I’m also a cuddler and will cuddle with you morning, day and/or night, really any time you’re up for it! Pets are great but you know what’s just as good, if not better? Being brushed and combed! Bonus: I’ll even let you trim my nails, preferably in exchange for treats. Do you know what isn’t so great? My carrier and the vacuum cleaner.

I do have some food allergies and require a specific diet. My favorite food is Blue Buffalo Limited Ingredient Duck and Potato, Yummy! Oh, and I can also eat prescription foods with hydrolyzed protein but let’s talk about treats now. I love freeze-dried guinea fowl treats and freeze-dried rabbit treats, double yummy!

I was rescued with my brother Yossaria but we aren’t bonded and don’t need to be adopted together. I do get along well with him so if you're interested in adopting us both, great! I also get along with other kitties so if your kitty needs a furiend, I'm in! Or if you just want to give me and only me your love, I'm certainly not going to say no to that! I'm looking for a calm home where I can play and cuddle with my family. Do I sound like the purrfect kitty for you?

Cadbury

Cadbury

Hi! We're Cadbury and Hershey! We were rescued in Doha, Qatar ??. We were rescued from a colony where a caring human was feeding us and other kitties. She fell in love with us and knew we needed to get off the streets and into a safe and loving home so she took us to a sanctuary where we flourished and showed just how pawsome we are. Then we went to a doctor to be vetted and that’s when they found out we’re FIV+. Unfortunately humans in Qatar think differently about FIV+ cats than they do here in the US. Even knowing how amazing we are, our rescuers knew it would be difficult finding a home there and they worried we might end up back on the streets if in the wrong human hands.

We’re extremely handsome, super sweet, very loving and generally calm kitties, although we do have a playful side too! When we first arrived we immediately came out of our carriers to check out things and say hello. I was a tad bit nervous when I first came out of my carrier but after exploring the room a few times, I began asking for pets. After we had a chance to stretch our legs after our long flight and receive some love, it was time to head to our foster home! Yay!

We were excited to greet our foster human and check out our foster home when we got here. We settled in nicely and now we’re having such a great time playing, receiving lots of attention, and finally being able to relax and not worry about the dangers and uncertainties we faced when we lived on the streets. This indoor lifestyle is incredible! We get to play chase and tag, eat lots of yummy food and relax with our human. I like to sit by our human’s feet while Hershey likes the higher spots so it works out purrfectly for everyone. And while we both love receiving attention, especially in the morning, we never compete for it.

We’re looking for a home together, preferably with a multi-human family so we can receive extra love and attention. We traveled a long way to find our forever home and are so excited to finally have a family to share our love!

You can follow us here while we're temporarily staying in another foster home @returnoftheyeti.

Calvin

Calvin

Hi! We're Calvin and Hobbes and boy oh boy do we have an incredible story for you! We were found outside and taken to the Peninsula Humane Society. Sadly no one was looking for us so our journey to finding our furever family began. We were adopted but just a few months later, our previous family decided they didn’t want us anymore ?. They asked that someone from the shelter pick us up from our home but when the person from the shelter arrived, Hobbes was missing!  No one knows what happened to Hobbes, only that he somehow had gotten out of the house. I was taken back to the shelter without Hobbes and I was very distressed being back there without my best furiend. Thankfully Give Me Shelter offered to help by getting me out of the stressful shelter environment and giving me a safe and loving foster home where I can decompress. Then something incredible happened! About a week after I arrived in my foster home, Hobbes was found by a Good Samaritan and taken to the shelter! Hurray! Fortunately, the shelter knew Give Me Shelter wanted to reunite us so the shelter made a very important phone call and now I’m back with Hobbes!

I’m a playful, sweet, and gentle kitty. I’m initially more nervous in new environments than Hobbes is and it takes me a longer to warm up but Hobbes really helps me out by making me feel more at ease. He’s the best!

We both love spending time with humans and receiving attention from them. We’ll ask for pets and cuddle up next to you so it’s easier for you to give us attention, yes, we’re very thoughtful. Hobbes tends to ask for more pets than I do while we’re settling in but I’ll let you in on a little secret… I love them just as much as Hobbes does and am always happy to receive them, it just takes me longer to ask for them.

When we aren’t relaxing in the sun or by the window, we like to play! We have lots of fun playing together and we’re excited to play with all of our new toys. We also love to play with our humans and for me it’s especially a great way to build trust with them more quickly. Whether I’m batting a toy around, leaping for a wand toy, or wrestling with Hobbes, I’m always in when it comes to having some fun!

We're looking for a quieter home with loving humans who know it will take us a little time to open up. Will you give us your patience, love and some sunny spots for naps? We purromise we're worth all of this and more!

You can see more of us in our foster home here @tunaluvrs.

Carlito

Carlito

Hi! We're Carlito and Fofo! We were rescued in Shasta County.

Our foster humans call me Lee-lee for short and I’m the “big brother”, not because I’m older but rather because I’m bigger in size. Our foster humans joke that I hogged all of the nutrients in our mama’s womb. Maybe that’s why Fofo tries to steal my wet food, he’s getting his revenge… hee hee.

I’m the more affectionate brother and will ask for pets by rubbing up against our humans. And once I’m feeling more comfortable I’ll even throw in some licks. I’m a purrer. Sometimes I’ll even start purring when humans look at me. I love being around humans and will find them in the house so I can be near them. And when guests come over, I’m always a gracious host and will hang out with them.

I also have a playful side, maybe not as playful as my brother but I like to think I can sometimes match his energy level. Stringy toys are my favorite and will even tackle some shoelaces when our foster humans are putting on their shoes. And being that Fofo is so animated, he’s super fun to play with. We love to wrestle, chase each other, and play hide and seek.

After a good play session or after eating a big meal, we like to groom each other, snuggle up and snooze the afternoon away. And when it’s our human’s bedtime, we’re right there with them on the bed. I like to be right by their side but not in an intrusive way. As a matter of fact, we’re told we have terrific bed manners and they love sharing their bed with us.

I do have a history of urinary tract crystals so I'm eating a prescription food. It's important my forever family continue feeding me my prescription food to maintain my health and keep me feeling good.

If you’re looking to add two sweet brothers with lots of purrsonality to your family, you should apply to meet us!

Chia

Chia

Hi! We're Chia and Sesame! We were rescued in the Central Valley.

I’m a sweet, affectionate and playful Tabby girl with a cute white chest because Tuxedos run in the family.

I’m initially shy in new environments and can be spicy for a minute or two but my short-lived spiciness isn’t hot like cayenne pepper, it’s mild like turmeric.  Once, one of our foster mama’s friends called me a little lioness right before picking me up and giving me lots of pets. My teeny lioness hiss didn’t scare her or really any other human I’ve tried to scare since being rescued. Oh well.

Although I may give a little hiss when we first meet, I’m very relaxed when you pick me up and am quick to love. Once we’ve spent a little time together and I decide we’re friends, I’ll show you my sweet and affectionate side… this goes for both humans and kitties. I made furiends with one of the other foster kittens here and started following him around and even napping with him. He’s quite confident and I’ve been learning a lot from him. One of the most noteworthy things I’ve learned is that being right next to humans comes with lots of rewards like pets, compliments and sometimes even a yummy treat.

I’m still getting used to all of the unfamiliar things around here and some of the sounds still startle me but I’m making progress every day. My foster mama tells me it’s so fun to watch me slowly open up and reveal a little more of my adorable purrsonality each and every day.

I'm bonded with my sister Sesame and we're looking for a home together.

We're so excited to meet our new family and have lots of fun with them!

You can see more of me in my foster home here @blocky_buds.

Fofo

Fofo

Hi! We're Fofo and Carlito! We were rescued in Shasta County.

I may be smaller than my brother in size but I’m the more confident and spunky brother. I’m super energetic and playful. Our foster humans have this really fun feather wand toy I love to play with and of course wrestling and playing chase with my brother is always loads of fun too! I get so excited about playing with toys and our foster humans tell me I’m not allowed to play with certain toys when they aren’t around because I sometimes chew on them a little too much but I’m fine with this because there are plenty of other fun toys to keep me entertained!

I like to say Fofo is my name and playing is my game, well playing and food... tee-hee! I love food and I get excited when it’s mealtime. My canned food is so yum yum yummy, and human food looks really yummy too. Sometimes I pretend I’m a ninja and try to steal a bite of my foster human's food but they're teaching me this is a no no. Shucks.

After a yummy meal there’s nothing I enjoy more than snuggling up with Carlito so we can groom each other and take a nice, long nap. Speaking of snuggling, we both love to sleep on the bed with our humans, and I’ll even sneak under the covers if you’ll let me. Our foster humans tell us we’re excellent bed kitties and they love sharing the bed with us.

I’m not as forthcoming with affection as my brother is in the beginning but this doesn’t mean I don’t love humans and receiving attention. I really enjoy receiving nose scritches and purring while receiving pets, I'm just not as outgoing or super demanding of attention until we’ve gotten to know each other better.

If you’re looking to add two sweet brothers with lots of purrsonality to your family, you should apply to meet us!

Freda

Hello! I’m Freda! I was rescued with my three sisters from a backyard in San Francisco and I’m so glad to meet you!

I’m a sporty, dynamic Tortoiseshell with a bit of spicy “tortie” personality to match. I can be a bit feisty at first, says the Tortie… hehe,  but all I need is some time to relax and for us to get to know one another and then my playful personality will emerge.

I love to play with the cat dancer toy and am quite the flying acrobat! Another way to my heart is offering me some treats and I’ll even lick Churus right off your finger. After some time and some play, I’ll happily welcome some head scratches and pets and will give you a little tap if I want more!

I love spending time by the windows so I can surveil the neighborhood and like to meow at the people passing by. I would be happy as an only cat while I’m finding my rhythm in my new home.

I’m looking for a kind and patient, cat savvy human. My sometimes sweet and sometimes sassy purrsonality will win your heart!

Fortunately, the shelter knew Give Me Shelter wanted to reunite us so the shelter made a very important phone call and now I’m back with Calvin!

I’m a friendly, affectionate, and playful kitty. It can take me a few days to begin warming up in new environments but I’ve gone through some big changes these past several months and I just want to make sure it’s safe to open up and reveal my loving purrsonality.
I’m the more confident one and lead the way with Calvin by my side. Once I’m feeling comfy in my new environment, my curiosity kicks in and before you know it I’ll be walking around checking everything out and head bumping for pets. Jackie

Jackie

Hi! My name is Jackie! I was rescued at ACT Spay Neuter Clinic. I’m a petite, sweet, easy-going and calm mini house panther who enjoys a laid back lifestyle.

I can initially be shy in new environments and might hide in a safe spot for the first couple days while I observe and adjust to my new space, but I'm sweet and I love humans so pets are always welcomed and I'll never hide for long.

My zoomie days are a thing of the past and now I’m all about spending time with my humans and lounging around the house. Napping in the sun, receiving pets, looking out the window, and eating are my ideas of fun these days. I feel most comfortable in calm environments without a lot of commotion because my hustle and bustle days are in the past. I just want to chill and express my love for my family.

I was itchy and scratchy when I first arrived in my foster home so my foster humans immediately looked into possible causes. They thought I might have a food allergy so they switched my chicken based food to a limited ingredient food with beef, duck, or venison and guess what! I’m feeling so much better now! Yay! I like to eat a little wet food and a little dry food and will need my forever family to continue feeding me a limited ingredient diet but don’t worry, my food is available at almost all pet stores, both locally and online.

I get along well with other kitties who don’t harsh my mellow by trying to play with me. With a slow introduction I can live with new chill furiends but I’m more than happy being your one and only kitty.

If you’re looking for a gentle and calm sweetheart, you should apply to meet me!

You can see more of me in my previous foster home here @youcanadoptmetoday.

Julius

Julius

We're Julius and Rambo! We were rescued in the Central Valley. We’re two brothers from another mother, but united as furever family!

I’m a curious but cautious kitty when I'm in a new environment. I’m not as forward and boastful as my brother right off the bat. I’m very aware of my world and will explore all the nooks and crannies while Rambo karate’s off every surface around me. I’m a little cautious around new people and like it when you make the first couple cuddle moves, but once I’m in your arms, my purr motor takes off!

We zoom around the house and superman off sofas. Occasionally we get distracted and start doing our own things, and that’s when I might detour… but Rambo grabs my attention and directs me back to our favorite wrestling spots for more rumbling and tumbling. It’s all day wrestle-mania starring Rambo and Julius for your entertainment.

Sometimes we need our human to pick us up to remind to take breaks and that human snuggles are just as fun, and we’ve already learned that they really are! We’ll even insta-purr when someone picks us up. Our favorite spot is right on your chest where we can boop our noses with yours… but be ready for the love bites… hehe.

Together, we’re the perfect dynamic of bashful and boastful, with a passion for cuddles and play. Apply to meet us!

Lacey

Hi! My name is Lacey! My meowmy loves me very much but she has a terminal illness and will soon no longer be able to properly care for me. As hard as it is for her to say goodbye to me, she wants to make sure I find a family who will continue to love me and take good care of me.

I’m a shy and gentle kitty who appreciates a quiet environment. I’ve been living a comfy life and it’s been a long time since I’ve been in a new environment so I’ll probably hide until I know it’s safe to come out. Some gentle encouragement from my human will definitely help while I’m adjusting to my new home.

I love receiving pets and will rub up against your legs while you’re sitting to ask for them. I’ll even roll around on my back to express my love and show off my cute belly. Humans think it’s super adorable when I do this and will often try to pet me while I’m rolling around but I jump away. Yes, I’m kind of a tease. At night I love to sleep on the bed with you. I might even try to sleep on you but if you prefer I sleep next to you or by your feet, we can work that out because I just want to be as close to you as I’m allowed.

I’m a fan of high places and will jump up on cabinets, bookshelves, trees… really any accessible place with a good view. But don’t worry, I also respond to “Lacey, no” if I find a spot where I shouldn’t be. I’m a good girl and listen to my human because my relationship with my human is very important to me.

I’m currently receiving medication for hypothyroidism and take my medication in my food. I eat a small breakfast and a small dinner every day, no free feeding for me. It’s important my new family continue feeding me scheduled meals.

I’m looking for a quiet home where I can relax in the sun and share my love during my senior years. Are you a loving family who will open your home to a sweet senior kitty like me?

Lenny

Hi! We're Lenny, Scarlett and Austin! We were rescued in the Central Valley.

I’m a sweet, outgoing and frisky kitten. I was so ready to get out of our carrier when we arrived so I could immediately check out our foster home! Oh my gosh there are so many pawsome things here… toys, beds, toys, trees, toys, windows, and did I mention toys? I love running around and playing with my foster human, my sister and brother, and even by myself with a toy... or two... or six.

I’m still a young kitten with a lot of energy so I’m looking for a forever home with a fun kitty furiend who will play with me. If you don’t already have a kitty at home, you should consider adopting me with my brother or my sister, or both!

I'm filled with fun and love and can't wait to share all of it with my family!

You can follow me and see what I'm up to in my foster home here @rsinr.

Hi! We're Lila and Marlon! Give Me Shelter rescued me a couple years ago after I was found in Tracy, CA. Marlon and I were adopted by a pawsome man who loved us so much but sadly he unexpectedly died. We were heartbroken. Now that we’ve had some time to process everything, we’re ready to find our new family!

I’m an adorable tuxedo with a plush coat made for petting and a darling white ring of fur around my tail and a white tip to top it off. I’m initially shy but my sweet purrsonality quickly emerges because I love humans.

Marlon and I are like two peas in a pod. We’re mellow, confident, easy-going, and lovable kitties. We’re both snugglers and love to be by our person. We’ll be by their side whether we’re relaxing on the couch or sleeping on the bed. We also have curious and playful sides. We like to be in the middle of things and will be right there to investigate what’s going on. We’ll even contribute to the action when we can.. hee hee.

We’re looking for a forever home together and we can’t wait to meet them so we can start cuddling!

Hi! I'm Lucy! I was rescued in Roatán, Honduras, a jungle island off the coast of Honduras. It's extremely difficult for kitties to find homes on the island because it's more common for humans to dump animals on the streets than it is for them to take animals in, even sweet kitties like me! Sadly animals living on the streets not only struggle to find food and safety but many also suffer abuse at the hands of bad humans. But I'm one of the lucky kitties who was rescued by Flight Angels of Roatán @flightangels_roatan. They saved me from the streets and cared for me until they secured a flight for me to go to San Francisco to find my furever family!

I’m a sweet and petite bundle of energy who loves to be by your side. Whether you’re working from home or catching up on your favorite tv show, I’ll be there with you. And when you’re up and about moving from room to room, I’ll follow you around with curiosity and affection.

I love to play and will bring my toys to you so we can play a game or if you prefer to bring them to me, I’ll joyfully jump in and show you all of my pawsome moves.

I also love receiving love and attention. Pets, kisses, scritches… they all equal love in my book. Oh, and speaking of love, I do sometimes give love nibbles but it’s just one of the ways of showing you that I care.

I quickly found the best places to nap in  my foster home so when it’s time to rest, I know exactly where to go. Whether it’s on one of my favorite blankets or on you, if you have an open spot for me, a comfy place to nap makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

I am so happy to be in a safe and loving foster home and can't wait to meet my forever family and start having fun, sharing love, and creating lots of ameowzing memories!

You can see more of me in my foster home here @adopt.lucy_.

Marlon

Marlon

Hi! We're Marlon and Lila! Give Me Shelter rescued me at ACT Spay/Neuter Clinic in Stockton, CA a couple years ago. Lila and I were adopted by a pawsome man who loved us so much but sadly he unexpectedly died. We were heartbroken. Now that we’ve had some time to process everything, we’re ready to find our new family!

I’m a handsome mini panther with a sleek and shiny black coat and a beautiful purrsonality to match. I’m initially shy in new environments and when I first meet new humans but it doesn’t last long because I’m a curious kitty and I crave human interaction.

Lila and I are like two peas in a pod. We’re mellow, confident, easy-going, and lovable kitties. We’re both snugglers and love to be by our person. We’ll be by their side whether we’re relaxing on the couch or sleeping on the bed. We both also have curious and playful sides. We like to be in the middle of things and will be right there to investigate what’s going on. We’ll even contribute to the action when we can... hee hee.

We’re looking for a forever home together and we can’t wait to meet them so we can start cuddling!

Myrtle

Myrtle

Hi! I'm Myrtle! I was found in Golden Gate Park with my brothers Ralphie and Simon. Some humans think the park must be an exciting place for kitties to be and we can tell you that yes it’s exciting, but in a very, very bad way. We were so scared and didn’t know where to go. Then everything changed when we heard a human nearby. We cried out for help and that concerned and caring human searched for us and found us! Now we’re living it up in our foster home.

How cute am I?!! AND I’m super fun, sweet, curious, and brave too.

I’m having so much fun playing with all of our meowzing toys and romping around in our foster home with my brothers. When it comes to toys, I love them all! String toys, wand toys, tunnels, lasers…. yes, yes, yes and yes! There are also lots of lounging spots here that double as wrestling spots: cozy beds, a cool felt cave, a crinkling tunnel and a big kitty tree.

When I’m not playing, I’m all about snuggling and pets. I love being near my humans and receiving pets from them. And don’t forget the snuggling. I’ll snuggle up with whoever is available - Ralphie, Simon, our foster humans, or everyone if I'm lucky!

I'm looking for forever home with fun and loving humans, and a playful kitty furiend. If you don't already have a kitty at home, you can adopt me with one of my brothers, or both! Am I the purrfect kitten for you? Apply for me and let's find out!

Palmer

Palmer

Hi! I'm Palmer! After being with my previous family my entire life, I was surrendered because I'm not really tolerant of children and there was a toddler in the home. I was sad and heartbroken but lucky for me Give Me Shelter is helping me find a new family!

I’m a handsome, social and confident cat. I was immediately comfortable when I first arrived in my foster home and even let my foster human pick me up and hold me. Resting my front paws on my human’s shoulder and nuzzling my head into their chin and neck while being held makes me feel so loved. And I love receiving pets although for me, there is such a thing as too much of a good thing. I can sometimes become a bit over stimulated when I’m held for too long or pet for too long and will give a gentle nip to let you know when I’ve reached that point if you haven’t already picked up on my cues.

I’m a social cat and enjoy meeting new humans. I’ll run to the door to say hello when I hear someone and sometimes the neighbors stop and chat with me. Being the social cat I am, I have lots of fun playing with my foster human. The fleece wand toys are my favorites but I also fun playing by myself with some of my other toys. And although I'm a mature cat, I sometimes still get random bursts of energy and will run around and up and down my kitty tower which makes my foster human laugh. I’m also quite curious and I know it’s such a stereotype but I can be demanding when I want a closed door to be open. But don’t worry, my curious nature doesn’t translate to being impolite. I don’t wake up my foster human at night or jump onto counters or other places I shouldn’t be just because I’m a curious cat.

I’m looking for a loving adult-only family and a forever home where I can be the one and only kitty of the house. I was with my previous family my entire life and it was a bit traumatic for me when I lost them and my home. I need a patient family who understands this and who will give me some time to bond with them. I know my family is out there and I can't wait to meet them!

Pumpkin

Pumpkin

Hi, my name is Pumpkin! I was found outside as a friendly stray cat in Tracy, CA.

I’m a beautiful cream-colored boy with a white bib and matching white socks. My personality is confident, friendly and affectionate. I immediately came out of the carrier to explore and say hi to my new humans when I arrived in my foster home. I have no fear and I don't waste time on hiding when I’m in a new environment. It took me no time at all to settle in!

I love humans! I've mastered the art of headbutting and I love to push my face into my humans' hands to ask for more pets. I am a purr machine and the purrs always flow once the petting starts. I’m cuddly as well. My first day in my foster home, my foster human woke up to find me sleeping on her pillow, all stretched out and curled around her head. Yes, I am very quick to warm up and to bond with humans! I am not super needy and I'll let you do your work, but whenever you have time for me, I absolutely adore being pet, and I'll come and lie across your stomach if you lie down to make it super easy for you to pet me more. Oh and I am not a vocal cat but I have the world's most adorable quiet little meow that I use to talk to humans when they acknowledge me.

Even though I've had to fend for myself outside for a while, I am still completely trusting, easy-going, adaptable and sweet. I've been loving my indoor life and my soft cat bed and I can often be found sleeping belly up in it. I'm so grateful to be one of the lucky few to be rescued and I can't wait to meet my furever family.

I can get along with other cats, or I can also be your one and only kitty. I've waited long enough...if you want an easy & loving cat, look no further and adopt me today!

You can see more of me in my foster homes here @dj_capy_.

Rambo

Rambo

Hi! We're Rambo and Julius! We were rescued in the Central Valley. We’re two brothers from another mother, but united as furever family!

Although I’m not a great chef, I’m a true foodie. I love to eat and I love to watch my humans eat too. You could say I have an avid mukbang hobby when it’s dinner time for the humans, getting up close and personal with curiosity.

I’m also a brave kitty for only being a couple months old, leading the way to adventure and dragging my brother Julius along with me. Once we’re in full swing, Julius takes over and we become unstoppable.

We zoom around the house and superman off sofas. Occasionally we get distracted and start doing our own things, and that’s when Julius detours… but I’m a good brother, always listening for his soft calls to direct him (mostly chase him), back to our favorite wrestling spots for a tackle.

Together, we’re the purrfect dynamic of bashful and boastful, with a passion for cuddles and play. Apply to meet us!

Rusty

Rusty

Hi! I'm Rusty! I was rescued in Fresno, CA.

I’m a shy, sweet, calm and affectionate kitty who likes to take things slow. Living on the streets taught me to be very cautious so I need extra time to adjust to new environments.

I was very nervous when I first arrived in my foster home so I found a safe space where I could decompress. Lucky for me there’s a kitty cave here, they’re my favorite, but even a corner with a cozy blanket in a quiet room does the trick. It can take me several days to build up the courage to leave my safe space to explore a bit but I’ll always return to my space afterwards until I’m feeling more confident.

I love humans and really want to create an unbreakable bond with my human but I do need some help to get there. Slow and gentle pets really help me feel more at ease and some tender encouragement from you really helps a lot too. You can pick me up and put me on your lap for pets and I'll expression my appreciation with purrs. You can slowly wave a wand toy and although I won't leap across the room to get it, it will peak my interest and with time I'll slowly open up to playing too. Little by little I’ll open up more and more and reveal more and more of my endearing purrsonality.

I do get along well with other kitties and having a calm and more confident kitty around to mentor me would be great!

I’m looking for a calm and quiet home with a cat savvy family who will be patient with me and help me build up my confidence. I’m a very sweet kitty who just needs extra time and extra love. Will you give a shy kitty like me a chance?

Scarlett

Scarlett

Hi! We're Scarlett, Austin and Lenny! We were rescued in the Central Valley.

I’m a friendly, confident and bubbly kitten. I was super eager to get out of our carrier when we arrived in our foster home and couldn’t wait to explore! Oh my gosh there are so many pawsome things here… toys, beds, toys, trees, toys, windows, and did I mention toys? I love to be silly and am having so much fun playing with my foster human, my brothers and even all by myself. And when I need a little recharge, I settle in for a quick snooze before heading into the next round of play.

You may have noticed that my eyes are a bit cloudy. I had an eye infection when I was younger so I was taken to an ophthalmologist. The doctor treated my eyes and as a result my eyes will be a bit cloudy for six months or so but no further treatment is needed... YAY!!

I’m still young and have an abundance of energy so I’m looking for a forever home with a fun kitty furiend who will play with me and hopefully snuggle with me too. If you don’t already have a kitty at home, you should consider adopting me with one (or both) of my brothers because I already know we’re a great match.

I’m looking for a fun and loving family who’s looking to add more fun and love to their home because I have plenty to share!

You can follow me and see what I'm up to in my foster home here @rsinr.

Sesame

Sesame

Hi! We're Sesame and Chia! We were rescued in the Central Valley.

I’m a friendly, social, curious and playful gray Tuxedo girl. I was out and about the moment I arrived in our foster home and touching noses with the other foster kitties I had never met before.

The first thing on my agenda was to join the other foster kittens who were already here having fun. I was tumbling and playing with them as soon as I left our carrier! It was like we all had known each other for all of our lives!

The next thing on my agenda was introducing myself to our new human. I know humans love me and pets, hugs and kisses are guaranteed when I go to them and look at them with my sweet eyes. I love receiving chin scritches and being scooped up for snuggles. Our foster mama picks me up and lavishes me with attention and it’s pawesome!

I'm bonded with my sister Chia and we're looking for a home together.

We can’t wait to meet our new family and start having lots of fun with them!

Shaboom

Shaboom

Hi! I'm Shaboom! My meowmy loves me very much but she has a terminal illness and will soon no longer be able to properly care for me. Finding a new home for me was a very difficult decision for her but she loves me so much and wants to make sure I continue receiving the love and care I deserve.

I’m a shy, affectionate and very gentle kitty who appreciates a quiet home and a laid-back lifestyle. Cuddling with my human and eating are my most favorite things to do. I’m not a fan of hectic environments with lots of activity and loud noises. Calm and serene describe my purrfect home.

I’m a true foodie and love, love, love food. I’m currently eating breakfast and dinner because if there’s food in my dish, I’ll eat all of it. Food is so yummy and I’ll put on the weight if food is left out for me so I’m certainly not a good candidate for free feeding. We all know it’s easier to put on weight than it is to take it off so I’ll need my new family to keep me on a feeding schedule so I maintain a healthy weight. Oh, and I also get a lysine paste supplement in my food but there are lots of other types of lysine supplements available, including treats!

The kitchen is one of my favorite rooms because that’s where the food is, and where I get my treats. I’ll even hop up onto the counter when I know its treat time because I get so excited when the treats come out. My meowmy says I have no fear when there’s food is involved. I’ve even tried to steal a pork chop from a pan on the stove… hehe! Yes, you might have to keep an eye on me when you’re cooking yummy food.

I’m looking for a calm home where I can relax and cuddle with my human during my senior years. I previously lived with Agent Orange and Lacey (who are also looking for their furever homes) and can live with other calm kitties with a proper introduction but I'll be more than happy being your one and only. I just want to enjoy life relaxing with my human, napping in comfy spots, and sharing love.

Simba

Simba

Hi! I'm Simba! I was abandoned in Lathrop, CA but lucky for me I was found by Good Samaritans and now I'm with Give Me Shelter waiting to meet my new family!

I’m a handsome, social, sweet and spunky kitty with a bubbly purrsonality everyone adores. I like to be in the mix of things and will socialize with everyone I meet. I’m not shy about introducing myself to new humans because I know what will happen… I’ll receive lots of pets, yay! Yes I absolutely love receiving attention but I’m not really a lap cat. Maybe I will be someday but for now I'll stick to curling up or sprawling out right beside you!

I also have a playful side and really enjoy chasing toys. Sometimes I’ll even play with the resident dog’s tail… hehe. I’m told I can be goofy which I take as a compliment because who doesn’t enjoy some good laughs?

Humans love me, cats love me, and even dogs love me! I’m just a lovable guy who will give as much love, or more, as I receive and I can’t wait to begin sharing it all with my forever family!

Slippers

Slippers

I’m a stunning Siamese Snowshoe Chocolate Point mix with a cream body and socks and a chocolate brown tail and face that frames my gorgeous aqua blue eyes. I’m a sweetheart and I love affection, like to talk, and love ear rubs, head rubs and back rubs!  All our foster mom needs to do is lay her palm out and I rest my head in it for rubs. Get this, I even like my front toes to be gently touched!  I don’t know if I’m a lap cat yet, but I’ve grown to love stretching out on the couch or bed next to our foster mom after play time. I now allow her to pick me up and am getting more and more comfortable with it. I have lots of fun running, jumping, and rolling around with my sister, Ashley. Our foster mom opens up our room so we get to explore the whole house, socialize with the resident kitties, and we’re mesmerized by watching the animal kingdom in action on TV.

You can see more of us in our foster home. Just click here @ashley_and_slippers to go to our Instagram account.

Yossarian

Yossarian

Hi! I'm Yossarian! I was rescued with my brother Bueller from the mean streets of Dubai when we were just kittens.

I’m a calm friendly, chatty, friendly and cuddly black and white kitty with adorable moo-cow markings.

Laid-back? Yep, that’s me. I guess you can say I’m more of an observer than a doer. I’m happy to sit on a lap all day and watch the world go by, while receiving some nice pets of course. I do enjoy a good conversation and am more than happy to share all of my amazing stories with you. And at night I’ll sleep under the covers with you. I’m also quite brave! Or maybe I’m just really chill because when the vacuum comes out, I know it isn’t coming for me so why get up and run when I can continue relaxing in the sun?

I was rescued with my brother Bueller but we aren’t bonded and don’t need to be adopted together. I do get along well with him so if you're interested in adopting us both, great! I also get along with other kitties so if your kitty needs a furiend, I’m up for it! I’m so chill I'll even be happy being a solo kitty! I’m looking for a cozy home with a loving family. Maybe that family is you!
