Sunshine has been adopted!
Tabby / Domestic Short Hair
Orange
Hi! I'm Sunshine! I'm a shorthair orange and white Tabby searching for my forever home. I was rescued from the streets of San Francisco two years ago before being adopted to live the dream with my mommy in the comfort and safety of indoor life. Then, right before the new year, my world suddenly changed and my mommy became too ill from cancer and she could no longer care for me.
This was an extra tough time for me because I was also just diagnosed with diabetes and pancreatitis. I am one lucky and grateful guy as my rescuer/uncle stepped up to manage and support all of my medical needs to help get me stabilized and feeling healthy under the diligent and compassionate care of my veterinarian. My uncle picked me up right away and ensured I got to go to the best foster home ever to receive TLC while I adjusted to being rehomed and being treated for diabetes. I am a very resilient, trusting, and laid back kitty and acclimated extremely well into my loving, active, and joyful foster family.
I really enjoy interacting with people and just hanging out, watching movies, reading books, and doing puzzles, and when it’s time to get up and be energized I love racing after my snaky wand toy with my 9 and 11 year old human foster sisters and their friends! I'm also down for independent play and it’s my jam to roll around on and kick my catnip banana. When it’s time to chill and recharge, I stretch out for naps in the sun on the plush rug and cozy couch. And I'm a sucker for getting a good brushing and a massage too from head to tail.
I'm looking for adopters who will give me a lot of affection, interactive play time and activities, and relaxation together. My adopters will need the capacity to commit to consistently manage my diabetes and pancreatitis at home and in collaboration with my veterinarian. All training and support to manage my health will be provided to my adopters. I receive twice daily insulin injections, am on a diabetic high protein low fat grain free wet food only diet, and get my weight and glucose monitored regularly at home.
I have so much love to give and can't wait to meet my new family!
