	Abigail Hi! I'm Abigail! I was rescued in Stockton, CA. I’m a sweet, beautiful, gentle, playful and quiet lynx point Siamese mix. You might say I’m a well-rounded kitty, in more ways than one but I’ll get to that later. I’m initially be shy while getting to know new humans and adjusting to a new environment, but I'm very sweet and really enjoy receiving pets which are always welcomed. I’m very easygoing and well-mannered. I’m not full of demands but with my adorable face and sweet purrsonality, I usually get what I want without even having to ask. I really enjoy lounging around, looking out windows, taking afternoon naps, and being brushed. I’m not much of a cuddler yet but I definitely like to be near my humans. I’ll curl up at your feet and will follow you around the house, but cuddling requires an extra level of trust that takes a little more time. As you can see in my photos, I have a little extra padding on my frame but I’m working on trimming down a bit. I’m now eating wet food and being meal fed to get me to a healthier weight. No more free fed kibble for me! I’m also exercising more and I’m loving it because playing is so much fun! I love playing with my foster mom and chasing my string toys. I’m looking for a calm home with a loving family who will be patient with me while I settle in and get comfy. 	Ashley Hi! We’re Ashley and Slippers, an energetic pair of bonded siblings searching for our forever home. We enjoy doing everything together - from racing up and down our cat tree to observing birds and wildlife in action from our window. When we’re ready to wind down, we stretch out on the bed or cuddle up inside our cozy cave to nap and recharge. We love playing with our foster mom and our favorite games are anything that involves leaping up into the air to catch the feather wand toy! We’re dreaming of our ideal forever home with someone who spends time at home hanging out and playing with us. Our foster home has resident cats who have been welcoming and curious while we explore. After exploring, we always run back to our foster room for playtime. We’ll thrive in a relaxed environment with routines and a balance of interactive playtime, relaxation to recharge, and some independence to explore our new furever home. I’m a beautiful gray tabby with gorgeous green eyes that are highlighted with white eyeliner. I’m shy about being pet and picked up, but am learning every day to enjoy physical affection from our foster mom and her friends just like my confident sister, Slippers, who is outgoing and begs for pets. Our foster mom learned quickly that I’m a sucker for Churu treats and will lick them up from her hand while being pet on my head with a fuzzy pom pom wand. She uses the wand to help me appreciate how wonderful pets feel and it works! I love sitting at the top of my cat tree and by the windows to birdwatch and I have lots of fun playing with the feather, spring, and snake toys. I’m curious about my surroundings so you’ll find me exploring and observing my foster mom and resident kitties. 	Batman Hi! I'm Batman! I was found living outside with my brother Alfred and our mama, but lucky for us a Good Samaritan rescued all three of us from a dangerous life on the streets. I've been busy working on my social skills and now it’s time for me to find my forever family! I have a sleek black coat, a curious spirit, and am quite adventurous once I get to know my surroundings. I enjoy exploring new corners, chasing a toy, or investigating anything that catches my eye. Outgoing and playful once you gain my trust, I’m sure to bring some excitement (and maybe a bit of mischief) to your home. I'm looking for a home with a playful furiend to keep me company. 	Cadbury Hi! I'm Cadbury! I was rescued in Doha, Qatar . I was living in a colony where a kind human was feeding me and other kitties. She fell in love with me and knew she had to get me off the streets and into a safe home so she took me to a sanctuary where I thrived. When I went to the vet, they found out I'm FIV+. Even knowing how pawsome I am, my rescuers knew it would be difficult finding me a home in Qatar and they worried I might end up back on the streets if in the wrong human hands. So here I am! In the United States looking for my purrfect family. I'm a friendly, trusting, and loving kitty with the softest fur and sweetest smiles! I immediately greeted my foster humans, settled in, and began sharing lots of love with them. I was flopping and rolling around for belly pets in no time. I love to sit and watch TV with my humans, action movies are the best! And when you have a blanket, I’ll be on your lap asking for pets. I'm a great snuggler and will give you loving head butts for attention. I'll even make some air biscuits when I'm in full snuggle-mode. Whether it’s morning coffee time, TV time, or afternoon worktime, I’ll usually be with you. When I’m not sitting on your lap, you’ll probably find me at a window looking for birds and squirrels. Those really big crows are kind of scary but those little sparrows are very intriguing and always get my attention. Enjoying the fresh air through a screen by and open window is another one of my favorite pastimes. I just love the smell of the outdoors, so much that I’ll climb and squeeze into a small space next to a window just to catch the breeze. Lap sitting, window watching, and playing are all so important that when going between activities, I’m always in a hurry. I trot everywhere. Trot, trot, trot… no walking for me. I traveled across the world to find my forever home and am so excited to finally have a family to share my love. 	Cheddar Cheese Hi! I'm Cheddar Cheese! I was rescued in Stockton, CA. I’m a floofy, sweet, and playful Maine Coon mix kitty. I have super soft fur (that requires regular brushings) and an adorably goofy nature that makes me a joy to have around! Humans ooh and aah over me when they see me but then when they hear my cute squeaky meow, their hearts melt trying to process just how precious I am. I really enjoy receiving affection from humans but usually on my terms. I’m happy to receive pets all over when I’m in the mood and will curl up for chest snuggles when I decide it’s the right time. I can be a bit nervous at first when in a new environment and around new humans but I become comfortable with a little patience and gentle interactions. I love to play, especially with feather toys. Are they birds or toys? I don’t care because they peak my interest and curiosity, and are lots of fun. Speaking of curiosity, I do have an inquisitive nature and will sometimes even nibble on houseplants. Keeping them out of my reach or making sure only kitty safe plants (that might encounter some munching) are around me are important. I’m currently in a foster home with a resident kitty and we get along now, after a slow and proper introduction that took about a week. Although I get along with other cats, I don’t have to have a furiend in my forever home as long as I receive lots of love from my humans. 	Churu Hi! I'm Churu! I was struggling to survive on the streets in Daly City but lucky for me, a Good Samaritan found me and took me in after noticing I had a wound. After receiving the medical care I needed, I made it clear I didn’t want to go back outside after being in a safe and comfortable home. I’m a shy, playful, and affectionate kitty. I’m still building my confidence in my new indoor environment and learning the ins and outs of the indoor life. For example, when my foster mom is on the bed and I want attention, I’m not sure what I should do. Do I jump up onto the bed and go to her? Do I wait down below and wait for her to come to me? I just need a little guidance when it comes to situations like this until I learn the answers. Although I'm still shy, I'm not too shy to show my playful and affectionate sides. I love playing with wand toys and really anything with feathers. Playing with me is a great way to help me build my confidence and it will also make you smile. It’s a win-win! And when I’m ready to relax with you, I’ll rev up my purr motor, ask for pets, and even roll over for some belly rubs. I’m looking for a quieter home with a patient and loving family who will continue to show me all of amazing things that come along with my new indoor life. 	Freda Hello! We're Freda and Holly! We were rescued with our sisters from a backyard in San Francisco and we're so glad to meet you. I’m a sporty, dynamic Tortoiseshell with a bit of spicy “tortie” personality to match. I can be a bit feisty at first, says the Tortie… hehe, but all I need is some time to relax and for us to get to know one another and then my playful personality will emerge. I love to play with the cat dancer toy and am quite the flying acrobat! Another way to my heart is offering me some treats and I’ll even lick Churus right off your finger. After some time and some play, I’ll happily welcome some head scratches and pets and will give you a little tap if I want more! I love spending time by the windows so I can surveil the neighborhood and like to meow at the people passing by. I would be happy as an only cat while I’m finding my rhythm in my new home. I will likely start off shy, but running laps around a cat tunnel and being provided with a rousing DaBird play session will soon bring out my exuberant purrsonality! 	Holly Hello! We're Holly and Freda! We were rescued with our sisters from a backyard in San Francisco and we're so glad to meet you. I’m a very sweet and a little chatty Tortoiseshell without the spicy “tortie” purrsonality. I’ll greet you at the door when you come into a room and be sure to stay close with a few rubs on your legs, ready for lots of head scratches and belly rubs! I love to play with you, and my favorite toys are the laser and the feather cat dancer. I can chase the laser around the room forever, and will show off my acrobatics for the feather cat dancer when it flies by. Lately I have added Peacock feathers to my list of favorite toys. I can't resist Peacock feathers disappearing under a blanket! Laser chasing and DaBird play sessions will bring out my trust and confidence. I love spending time in the window watching the neighborhood go by and can’t wait to see yours! I have a streak of independence, but also get along well with my sisters and at times you'll find me snuggled up with Freda at bedtime. I LOVE treats, especially churus, and will be the first in line when it’s treat time. 	Izzy Hi! We're Izzy and Mimi! We were rescued from a cat colony in Tracy, CA. We’re tuxedo twinsies with complementary purrsonalities. I’m a confident, friendly and energetic kitten. I’m the confident sister and am quick to warm up to new humans, new environments, and even new furiends. When I see the resident cat I purr up a storm and run over to him to rub up against his super floofy fur. I take the lead when it comes to meeting new humans and animals, exploring new environments, and playing with toys. I like to think of myself as the big sister and am always looking out for Mimi to make sure she feels comfortable. I love to play and have lots of energy to keep play sessions going strong whether they’re with our foster human or my sister Izzy, or both! 	Jinx Hi! My name is Jinx! I was rescued at the shelter in Hesperia, CA. Not only am I a gorgeous house panther but I’m a huge sweetheart too! I found a nice quiet corner where I could unwind when I first arrived in my foster home but as soon as a string toy came out, so did I. Nothing says “welcome” better than a fun toy to play with! Within the next 24 hours I was out exploring my new space and asking my foster mom for pets. Now that I’ve been here a couple weeks, I’ve really opened up and am feeling right at home. I love spending time near my foster mom, either napping at her feet while she works or sitting on her lap while watching tv or reading. My foster mom jokes and says I’m Little Miss Jinx Underfoot because I’m always wrapping myself around her ankles or headbutting her legs while she cooks dinner or walks down the hallway. Although I love to cuddle up with her during waking hours, I haven’t slept on the bed with her at night, at least not yet. I didn’t say much when I first met my foster mom but now I quietly chirp when I want to play or hang out, and I happily engage in conversations with her when she talks to me. When it’s time to play, the mini panther in me comes out. I love to hunt and play with all sorts of toys that allow me to show off my hunting skills, and nothing beats a yummy Churu snack after playing as a reward for all of my hard work. Sometimes I get so into character and wound up but don’t worry, I know when to say when and will stop and walk away if I become overwhelmed. I used to be very shy when guests came over and stayed under the bed until they left but recently, I welcomed a guest and even cuddled up next to her and let her give me pets. I ended up hanging out the entire time she was here! I guess I just need time to settle in and really feel comfortable before I feel brave enough to interact with guests. I’m looking for a family who will give me a little time to settle in so I can adjust and reveal my pawsome purrsonality more quickly. 	Lila Hi! I’m Lila! I was rescued at ACT Spay/Neuter Clinic in Stockton, CA. I’m a sweet, gentle, and beautiful lynx Point Siamese and Tabby mix. I’m a low-key companion who won’t demand the spotlight, and I take my time warming up to people. I like to curl up in safe, comfy spaces (like my cat bed) and will happily accept affection when I feel secure - belly rubs are my favorite! I may not be the type to fight for your attention, but my quiet, affectionate nature makes me a lovely, calming presence in any home. I’m not much of a talker, but I do love my Churu treats—those are the way to my heart! 	Louie Hi! I'm Louie! I was rescued at Peninsula Humane Society. Let me be honest with you, I am truly a charming and fun cat, but also have a naughty side to me. Let me tell you how awesome I am first. I am a sweet, playful, and energetic young cat. When you come home, I’ll run to greet you at the door with cuddles and kisses. I adore playing with moving objects, especially wand toys. I thrive in a setting where humans can commit their energy to playing with and stimulating me. I also enjoy relaxing and watching humans do chores around me. I’m not particularly vocal but make it clear when I want to play interactively with the humans around me. I love being around humans; I’m comfortable and outgoing when meeting new humans. When sleepy, I always find myself purring in someone’s lap and enjoying pets and head-rubs. I’ll frequently place a gentle paw on my companion’s arms and cheeks to let them know I want more chin rubs. I also appreciate being groomed with a brush while I relax. I can sometimes become a little overstimulated so I need a family who respects this. I am extremely smart and am easy to train with clicker training. I know how to sit, high five, jump on command, and spin; currently, I’m learning to wait and stay before getting a treat placed on the floor in front of me. I’m highly inquisitive and love investigating all the nooks and crannies inside and observing all the activity outside through the window. Despite my inquisitiveness, I’m respectful of furniture and avoid scratching or chewing on objects around the home — besides my designated scratching posts. I love sitting atop my perch on a couch or table where I can see the activities going on around me. I would also appreciate a larger living space, no studio apartments for me. I sound pretty great, right? Well, I can be a bit naughty and frankly a bit of a stinker at times. Sometimes when super smart cats like me get bored we can be “bad”. Am I really “bad”? It’s all a matter of perspective I suppose. I was raised as an only cat, so I didn’t really learn some manners. Like when you move me it’s not ok, I can give a bit of attitude and at times be a little bitey. What I need is someone who is the boss of me and not let me push them around. Are you up for the up for the challenge? My charming and lovable personality is worth it, trust me. Other cats? Well, that’s kind of up in the air. At first, I thought no way, but now I’m in foster with other cats and they can play with me. But I will let you know, if there’s another kitty in my life they need to be pretty confident. I can go either way, I can be your only cat or go with a cat furiend. What I really need is a family that is appreciative of my naughty ways and help me learn my manners. I’m looking for an adult only family who will play with me, chill with me, and most of all, love me! 	Mimi Hi! We're Mimi and Izzy! We were rescued from a cat colony in Tracy, CA. We’re tuxedo twinsies with complementary purrsonalities. I’m a sweet, shy and playful kitten. I’m the shy sister and it takes me some time to open up in new environments and around new humans. I tend to err on the side of caution but steadily gain confidence each and every day. Thankfully I not only have my foster human to support me but I also have my sister Izzy to help me out! I feel best when she’s around because I know I can trust her. 	Sage Hi! I’m Sage! I was rescued at ACT Spay/Neuter Clinic in Stockton, CA. I’m a tuxedo girlie with a big purrsonality and an even bigger appetite for attention (and Churu treats)! At first, I might seem a little shy, but don’t be fooled—I just need a few days to scope things out. Once I’m comfortable, I’ll be your little shadow, following you from room to room to make sure you never feel lonely. In the mornings, I’ll greet you with enthusiastic head bumps, especially when you're sitting on your throne. I love playtime and will bat and leap at toys all day long! I can be a bit of a diva, though - if you’re petting another cat, I’ll come right over and insert myself into the action. Yes, I have a dominant personality and may reign over your other fur babies and I have no problem meowing, sometimes loudly, to let you know that I need extra love. I’m a sweetheart and I love affection, like to talk, and love ear rubs, head rubs and back rubs! All our foster mom needs to do is lay her palm out and I rest my head in it for rubs. Get this, I even like my front toes to be gently touched! I don’t know if I’m a lap cat yet, but I’ve grown to love stretching out on the couch or bed next to our foster mom after play time. I now allow her to pick me up and am getting more and more comfortable with it. I have lots of fun running, jumping, and rolling around with my sister, Ashley. Our foster mom opens up our room so we get to explore the whole house, socialize with the resident kitties, and we’re mesmerized by watching the animal kingdom in action on TV. 	Timmy Hi! I’m Timmy! I came all the way from Oman to find my forever family! I was left at a vet clinic in Oman and sadly no one came back to pick me up. Thankfully the vet took really good care of me and even treated me for free so I could find a home. I stayed at the vet and every day I hoped my new family would walk through the door but no matter how much I flaunted my winning purrsonality, I was repeatedly overlooked because I’m blind. That’s when the vet asked Wave Cats and Dogs Rescue in Oman to help out. Using their connections with other rescues, they connected with Give Me Shelter and now here I am in San Francisco! Yay! I’m a confident, curious, peppy, and affectionate Arabian Mau kitty. I adjusted to my foster home so fast! My foster mom has fostered other blind kitties and she says I adjusted the most quickly out of all of them. I was pretty much walking around like I owned everything right away. Just because I don’t have eyes doesn’t mean I don’t have confidence… hehe! I have so many loves but if I had to choose my top three, they would be playtime, human interaction, and mealtime. I love to play! I’m an energetic and athletic 10lbs. of fun! Playtime is the best way, well really the only way, to get my energy out. Wand toys, catnip toys, and crinkly toys are my favorites but honestly, I can make fun out of most any toy with a catchy sound or smell. I also love humans and I’m not afraid to ask for attention. I’m very expressive and have a sound for everything. I’ll ask you for head rubs and body rubs whenever your nearby. And when it’s time to sleep, I’ll be touching you so I know where you are. Enjoying a yummy meal is another one of my loves. My foster mom tells me I have a cosmopolitan palate. I'm not a food critic, I just have an appreciation for all flavors. 	Vivianne Hi! I'm Vivianne! I was rescued at ACT Spay/Neuter Clinic in Stockton, CA. I ended up at the shelter after my previous human passed away. As you can imagine, I was very sad and scared when I suddenly lost not only my family but also my home where I had been for a long time. I’m a beautiful, gentle, calm, and loving mature kitty with the cutest tiny meows. I’m initially shy but I’ve been through some big changes recently. I felt safe and secure in my previous home for many years so feeling cautious in a new home is understandable don’t you think? I stayed under the dresser in my foster home for the first couple of nights so I could observe from a safe place, but I didn’t stay under the dresser the entire time. Human interaction and affection are important to me so I did venture out now and then to say hello to my foster human and give her some sweet head bumps. Taking it easy is the key to my happiness. I love snoozing in my cat bed, lying on the couch, being brushed, relaxing on my cat tree, and sitting by the window. I’m not completely sedentary… I do engage in some exercises like plopping down and rolling around on the floor... hehe. And if there’s a toy nearby, you won’t find me chasing it around the house but I will rub my head against it. I know, I’m silly and cute. I’m looking for a quiet home with a patient family who understands I’ll need some extra time to fully open up. I just need some comfort and reassurance to show me I’m still loved!
